i first heard of julixo when i put my hands on his fantastic ep called silas released on rauh 005. after that, i kept a close eye on the sounds he was posting, and when i heard rebho, i knew we were going to do something together. the warm synth line, together with the jackin drum patterns, were perfect. then came reflections, which fitted superbly with rebho. although slower, and maybe more introspective, you still have that warm feeling going through the track. we decided to go with life of crime on the other side of the record. much more aggressive in its construction, that track deserved a side on its own: modern techno at its best. i hope you will enjoy this nice versatile release as much as i do! best regards, philippe petit

for our first vinyl release emiel zwart has produced 3 tracks and the guys from twr72 (amsterdam, nl) are on remix duty. at the end they managed to create an ep with a great diversity of pure quality techno tracks. erratic sidewalk and thymine with a lightly rawer and harder feel compared to disclosure with a more melodic and hypnotic approach. the remix is built on a continuous driving rhythm with a steady bassline as you can expect from the guys from twr72.

martins *escape from south warren* lp will arrive on october 5th on the label operated by frank juncaj, aka dj 3000. juncaj calls martin an *unsung hero of detroit techno* and cites his label, teknotika records, which has been running since 1993, as a key influence. the first remix ep, due out september 11th, features reworks by robert hood and dj 3000 in addition to two original cuts. mark broom and rolando contribute to the second ep, which arrives on october 12th.

general ludd is rich mcmaster from new jersey and tom marshallsay from canterbury. the guys met at the glasgow art school, where rich studied environmental art and tom studied fine art. their first collaborations were interactive sound installations, but that quickly gave way to all night music making sessions. this is their second ep for us � a more left field turn than their first, but, we can assure you, both tracks will break discerning dancefloors wide open.

the a&r edits return with a double-header from hot digits head honcho fingerman. the brighton producer grew up listening to his parents enviable steely dan record collection and for his comeback outing on a&r has retouched the de la soul-sampled classic, peg. a tight circle of djs have road tested this rework over recent times and we ve been inundated with requests for its release. in 1970, new york session drummer bill curtis merged the fatback jazz beat of new orleans into a street funk band and signed his outfit to perception records. over the next decade, they incorporated jazz and disco into their signature funk style, before moving in an r&b direction in the 80s. during this period, american pop success proved elusive, but the group made regular appearances in the uk singles chart, hitting the top twenty three times with (are you ready) do the bus stop , (do the) spanish hustle and i found lovin it s the latter, an anthem on the uk black music scene in 1984, that has been served up here by fingerman, a staple at his casablanca jazz club residency in brighton and now available on wax for the first time.

uk techno founders b12 return! the duos history famously started in the early 90s with their music appearing under a plethora of monikers under the b12 records umbrella - 12 inch vinyl with notorious cryptic messages engraved in the run-out grooves, before being collected into album form and release on warp. after a hiatus in the late 90s, the pair resurfaced briefly for some live shows, a flurry of hugely sought-after 12 inches and a 7-part cd anthology. they then abruptly disappeared again - this is their first appearance in 5 years, fittingly on glaswegian imprint soma.
